I am onsite trying to correct an install done by another company.

When I connect to the CTC5000 via the transfer utility I get the following error:

Your C-Touch colour is running an old Operating System version.
Please contact CIS to arrange an update to the most recent version.

I can then Ok this and get the following info:

    on information tab-

    Server 1.6.0.0
    Homegate 4.1.0.0
    OS 5.1.2600 Service Pack 1

It also has the project file information as on the CTC at present.

Note that I have already updated the software using the transfer tool and the package that comes with PICED v4.1.0.0

It also allows me to transfer the project to my computer.

Now when I run PICED (v4.1.0.0) and load the project I get the following error:

    Error using C-Bus database.
    "Error loading C-Bus project "FISHLAKE".
Project must be upgraded before it can be used"

It does seem to load the project but it will not let me work with it, just stays on the project info pages.

    Any advice?

    Thanks

    Simon

    Hi amberelectrics,

The first problem "Your C-Touch colour is running an old Operating System version." means that the flash card is an old version. If you contact CIS tech support they can arrange for a replacement to be sent out to you. The update is carried out on a replacement card due to upgrades to the operating system that were either too big or impossible to do using the CTC transfer utility.

The second problem "Error using C-Bus database." means the toolkit project was last edited with an older version of toolkit. To fix this error simply open toolkit and select the project. You will be asked if you would like to upgrade the project. Once toolkit has done its thing you should no problems opening your PICED project as usual.

    Regards,

    Matty

    Hi Matty

I did figure out the load into latest toolkit thing whilst on site, pure luck really as I hadnt made the link between PICED and toolkit. Find it a bit odd that it does this but ok, wont make that error again :)

I got the flash card in the post today so will arrange another site visit to get it in there when I go to sort the Minder.

    Thanks for the response.

    Cheers

    Simon
