Ctouch via Wiser Remote Download Issues...

Hi Guys,

Got a issue with transfer to ctouch via wiser. I have multiple sites with Ctouch's connected via wiser. All that were working prior to 4.11.0, allowing remote download of projects. I have downloaded to them after 4.11.0 was release and the the firmware has been updated.

Issue is that once update has been done I can no longer connect. transfer utility give a "unexpected connection failure".

I have had to go to sites and downloaded the projects. This works fine and while there I checked all port forwards. nothing changed here.

Now I have also replicated the issue at home and when packet sniffing I can see it connect and then the connection be refused "Unable to complete command. authentication failed"

I checked passwords match and all looks fine. I also checked that I could transfer to wisers, which also worked fine.

any ideas here?

 

Is that message from the Wiser or from transfer client/Colour CTouch? If possible, please upload the packet capture (if wireshark pcap file).

I looked at the packet capture and here's what I was able to determine:
Colour CTouch - 192.168.1.3
PC IP - 172.20.10.2
Wiser IP - 219.90.233.181

At packet 48, I see your PC IP connect to Wiser IP port 9000 which correctly appears to get forwarded to a CTC with message:
300-Unable to complete command: AUTH
300 Authentication Failed

I'm not sure what would cause that. I'll ask here.

 

Thanks be good to get this working again. Bit annoying having to go to sites when remote update was working fine before.

By the way , If I downgrade FW of ctouch it works remotely again. Maybe something got broke ??????

 

Any ideas what's going on here. .... Have downgraded a number of sites now so I can remote access again. All seem to do the same thing and were working just fine before this update????

 

I have same trouble.

This trouble does not relate WISER.
I installed WISER and C-Touch at my customer's house.
The WISER is LUN device in this environment.
WISER does not touch Project update between remote PC and C-Touch.

I think this trouble is depending on bug of PICED.

Dont think that PICED is the issue as I Remotly Updated firmware ok, but once fw updated and trying to download a changed/updated project it seems to be broken.

 

I think we have worked out what is happening. I will keep you informed of progress.
