    Hi All,
I have recently got my current measurement unit working quite nicely on wiser showing details of the home consumption and the solar generation.
The only downside I am finding is whenever I update the project I lose all my daily, weekly, monthly totals and it starts from scratch again. Has any one come across this or am I missing something simple.

You need to update the project from the unit every time.

It can be a pain if you then take the code off site and then work on it for 2 days and then return and put it back you loose 2 days info.

I have asked for a feature to just update the "energy info" in a project for the unit some time ago. I assume it is still being worked on. Customers get very very annoyed when this info does missing after a project update.

Correct. PICED asks if you want to refresh the project data from the unit when you reopen/open a project. That step retrieves the latest power history data and incorporates it into your current project. That way when you transfer the project to the unit, that same data is restored back to it.

I didn't understand the part about just updating just the energy info. If you point me to the discussion/thread, I'll take a quick read through it.

    I tried

The second time I did update from the wiser then made a few changes and the downloaded the project. This also wiped my totals so I was wondering if I was doing something wrong. I thought data was stored in the CMU?

The power history data is saved on the Wiser and it is part of the project. If you refresh it from PICED, then that data gets added into your current project.

After the refresh from project completed, you should be able to open the Power Meter Manager (under Project) and then on the History tab, you should see all the saved data for the meters that are defined in the project.

    Ahhh

Does the history remain on the wiser router after a download or does it start from fresh? I haven't bothered to test yet but it seemed that after I downloaded the project after editing a little that the power history on the wiser was wiped. This was after i updated the project first into piced. Does the history only store in piced or should it be on both?

I assume by "download", you mean a project transfer to the Wiser. When you do a project transfer to Wiser, you are replacing any data on the Wiser with the data/power history that is in your project. If you do not see any power history in PICED, then that will mean you will have no history on the Wiser. The history is stored on the Wiser. Once you refresh your PICED project from the Wiser, (This is what PICED asks you when you open the project), then that same history that was stored on the Wiser is incorporated into your project and becomes visible in the Power Meter Manager.
