dali problems

Hi people
we have just installed 1500 8watt white led strips in a library one for every shelf. We have used eldoled drivers with a 12v power supply these are controlled by helvar digidim routers with dali. the system is doing some strange things, some times the routers lose the address and then find it again and it doesnt go back into the same group.This causes us to lose control of the led on that adress. also when the leds are on they some times flick off and on this is random and there is no pattern to it.
It also happens when the leds are switched off some of them are getting fault pulse of some kind causing them to flash, any ideas would be a great help im at the end of my range

 

Whilst Clipsal/Schneider do sell a C-Bus to DALI Gateway, this forum is primarily for discussions around C-Bus, not DALI. Whilst some C-Bus Installers do also install DALI, I suspect there won't be too many people on this forum who will be familiar with the specific equipment you've mentioned.

Hi Jimi, I am DALI manufacturer for Cbus, KNX etc, I guess may be the following reasons:
1. the DALI driver have DALI signal communication problems, sometimes it missed the commands from controller. try repeat sending commands.
2. the DALI software cause error, try to shut the power of led driver 1 minute and turn on again to see if recovery.
3. the power tranformer not run good, especially when you see flick off and on. such as the transformer overload, over heated , in protection status etc.
if transformer not run good , the mcu for DALI control will have problem too as it need power to run.
