    All,

    Please see the attached screenshot.

On the top half of the screen, "Units in Database", you can see that at address 23, I have a "DIMDN4F - DIN Rail 4 Channel Dimmer". This unit is physically part of my physical hardware installation, yet it doesn't appear on the lower "Units on Network section". This problem is persistent.

I have rebooted the computer, restarted Toolkit, ReScanned the network, etc, and can never get the item to show as being on the Network.

The first load on the unit is a light (Group1) that is mapped to wall switch. I can turn the light on/off by touching the wall switch. In other words, Toolkit doesn't see the physical unit, yet it seems to be working !?!

Anyone ever see anything like this ?

    TIA
(Note: For this post, ignore the smaller window on the screen shot.)

That is odd. What is your gateway unit, are you using the PACA for that?

Only thing that will show for sure what is happening is a C-Gate level 9 log.

Hi Daniel, The problem is persistant reguardless of the gateway I use:
    * Wiser (Interface type CNI 192.168.x.x:10001)
    * Wiser (Interface type Wiser 192.168.x.x:10001)
    * Serial (COM4 PACA)

    Any other thoughts ?
    Thanks for the post !!!

    Hi Barshack,

I've had a look at the logs you sent through. The unit is not even responding to installation MMIs. Please double check that it is indeed that unit which is functioning on the C-Bus network (the load is not wired to a different dimmer, for example).

One diagnostic you can try is to initiate learn mode from the DIMDN4F unit. If the unit fails to enter learn, then it is most likely damaged or faulty (in the sense that it is receiving C-Bus messages but unable to transmit them). In that case I would suggest that you contact Technical Support.

    completeness

    Hi Daniel,

    Thanks for you efforts.

    I have double checked.
Currently, there is only one load connected to the unit, which is an incandescent light fixture.
I can toggle the light from the front on/off button on the physical unit as well as a wall switch mapped to the unit. I suspect you are correct that the unit is faulty. For completeness, I have included a few more screen shots with this post.

(How much kipper would you like ?)
