    Hey guys,

Bit of a weird one - but is there a dimming module available that could dim a standard ceiling fan? Worst case scenario is to connect it to a CBUS relay, and have a separate manual fan dimming switch to control speed, but would prefer to have it all automated with CBUS.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Damien.

Jago, to give you a basic idea, and as Peter said, you should do a search of the forums for more information, but what alot of people are doing is to pull apart the standard fan switch, and using 2 or 3 relay channels, wiring the capacitors behind the normal wall knob to these relay channels, and then programming things so that low speed activates one relay channel, medium speed the other relay channel, etc.

You will find a ton of other threads discussing this exact subject if you search these forums, but I hope this gives you a basic idea of where you can head.
