Dimming Linear 240V Double Ended Halogen Lamps

    Hi
    Anyone knows what the maximum load I could dim when using Linear 240V Double Ended Halogen Lamps. I believe that these lamps do not require any kind of transformers.

    Whatever the max VA rating of the particular dimmer channel is (ie 240VA for 1A dimmer, 480VA for 2A dimmer, 750VA for the 3A dimmer etc etc) divided by the nominal wattage of the lamp(s). No transformer means no need to de-rate for losses. You can treat them as if they were standard 240 incandescents.
