I have 5 DLT's, three which have been installed for 10+ years. Two of them have flickering backlights. The screen and indicator brightness had been set to 50% and are now reduced to 25%. I did set one to 0% but it really turns the DLT into a user unfriendly blank looking thing on the wall. So repair the backlight! Simple? I hope so - I do have a tinkers degree in electronics even though the ESV deemed me not suitable for a contractors license as I was "Technically not skilled" according to the deputy chief inspector. I have a few spare DLT's so I can remove one and attempt a repair. I hope I can surprise the deputy chief inspector with my prowess. Any hints, short cuts, cheats freebies??? **Oh, I did have a DLT go haywire causing terrible CBus faults that I thought was a power supply issue. Took a while to track down and the unfortunate DLT was duly dealt with. Its now landfill - or in China being refurbished.
