Is there some tricky way of setting the DTL text when the switchs are used as scenes as no groups are used.
Do i have to set up dummy groups, load text then enter scenes data ??

Thats cool if all scenes are related to the same group as the trigger group applies to all switches.
And if you set action selectors of a group i can only have one set of text per group so say i have "fan high" and "fan low" scenes how do i get the two switchs to show the two sets of text ?

On the normal Lighting applications the label applies to the Group Address only.

On the Trigger Control Application however you can apply a label to a specific Action Selector. As such, you can label each scene independenty by giving each Scene a unique Action Selector and labelling those.

Got it, do you see anything wrong with this approach-
I make the trigger group the name of the switch and set action selectors to what the scene does also i can set the DLT text for the switch at same time.
Then i can track which switchs have scenes and the DTL text at the same time.
    See Pic 1

If i disable learn mode in switch this should take care of that problem if i only add scenes from toolkit- yes ??

    1) Yep, what you've suggested will be fine.

    2) Disabling Learn Mode is definitely a good idea if you've got more than 4 Scenes programmed in. Otherwise those Scenes will be erased by Learn Mode if you change any of the Scene functionality in the unit.

    DLT scene tags

Is there anyway to label a button that has been programmed to switch "multiple" lights????

    Thanks

    Scene Labelling

    Hi IJL,

For info on labelling scene keys, try Newman's link earlier in this thread.

If the key is directly switching multiple groups (it is assigned to 2 or more blocks), you will need to label the group on the 1-1 block (ie. block 3 for key 3) if it is used, or otherwise the group of the lowest selected block.

    Cheers,
    Mark.
