When using XP I have had no issues, but when using Windows 7, I get an error "socket error#10040, message too long"
Obviously I am doing something wrong in windows 7, I have tried setting the IP address to match the screen to no avail'
With the old laptop using XP, it does not seem to be an issue. Can you help as the old laptop is on it's last legs:)

    Hi Ray,

It appears as though the problem occurs in the transfer utility only when using the direct connect option on windows 7.

You can work around the problem by setting the CTC's IP address manually to be in the same subnet as your PC's address. Then connect your PC to the CTC using the crossover cable and connect using the 'Fixed IP' option in the transfer utility.

    Regards,

    Matty
