hi guys, i have a question..
is it possible to integrate tridonic atco PCA 2/24 T5 ballast with L5508DSI (DSI gateway module).as we know tridonic atco is suport with 5502DAL (dali gateway).
meanwhile there is writing "DALI/DSI" in tridonic atco.btw i'm not try it yet..

    thanks before..
    regards.

As long as the Atco ballast is either the DSI only or the universal (DSI and DALI) it will operate perfectly with the DSI Gateway.

I used for a second time 150 of the DSI Tridonic's ballasts last month and they worked perfectly with L5508DSI.

Watch out if you want DALI... there are 2 types !

As Darren implied, there's 2 different versions of current generation of Tridonic Ballasts, both of which have the "PCA" prefix on the part number

The "high-end" ones are are termed "EXCEL one4all". These units can be used in either DSI, DALI or "Switch-DIM" mode.

The "cheaper" ballasts are DSI and Switch-DIM only, and these are termed "PCA ECO"

Here are the respective Codes for the 2x24W T5 ballasts :

DSI or DALI = PCA 2/24 T5 EXCEL lp

DSI ONLY = PCA 2/24 T5 ECO lp

But this won't matter if you only want DSI, because either will work fine.

Note to others - remember that DSI ballasts are not addressable... so the control groups must be hard-wired, one group per output channel on the C-Bus DSI Gateway.
