Error 2080

    Hi
    Whilst we were commissioning a system we had three laptops connected to central PC running c-gate. All worked great in the office using a netgear router. On site for some reason I changed the router(wish i didn't), and none of the laptops could connect the central PC.
    Checked the network and all laptops and pc could see each other, could share files, could open and edit files, so the network was ok, even checked the firewalls on each machine, but for some reason i could not get the laptops to connect to c-gate again, we just kept getting error 2080.
    So the next night I changed the router back to the netgear and it all worked again, all laptops could share the same c-gate, (great feature by way for commissioning).
    Now i looked at the configs of the routers and all apeared to be set the same. The only real difference was one was netgear and the other was belkin.
    So my question is what could of been stopping the connections ???
    Any help as i would like to get to the bottom of the problem.

    Port forwarding configuration in router is one thing I would check. The other is entries in the C-Gate's access.txt. Do they still match the IP's of laptops that the new router allocated to them? Also the IPs of Remote C-Gate entries on laptops may need to be changed or you may need to add new remote connection entries.

    no, checked those, the laptop IP address are static so its not that, and ports in routers were opened.
    Access txt in c-gate did not need to be changed because of static address. And as i said the laptops could still see and talk to each other and even the central pc, buth toolkit would not connect to c-gate.
