Sorry for being a newbie, but this is first time attempt at connecting toolkit to some hardware. I had entered into toolkit all my units for first project. I have wired up a PCI, universal 4channel dimmer and single input switch Key1.
I placed the dimmer at address 001, with clock and software network burden enabled.

When scanning the network Tool kit says it located 4 units. Three as expected plus a unit type 'Error failed to scan unit' at address 009.
Then says unit address conflict at 009, and it tried, but failed, to unravell this unit.

I then tried to edit Key1 so it operated channel one of this dimmer, but after editting toolkit to transfer to the network it said it failed.

    Am I missing anything.

Does this give clue as to what I am doing wrong?

There wasn't a physical burden in with the PCI. My understanding is I can use a software enabled burden? Is this insufficient for such a small test network?

Still at a loss to get this simple network happening, (now 2 switches+dimmer+PCI.)

It scans, and says it found either 5 or 6 units,
Says error 7092, units with duplicate addresses found
I try to resolve and it fails to unravell error 3772
then retrieves unit info and lists the 4 units + extra item/s of unit type: 'failed to scan unit'

I am also getting 'unit type only - serial mismatch' on the switches under column Exists in Database

And I am unable to transfer programming to the network as i get error 45127, transfer of programming information failed.

the network current consumption is 368mA, Supply 800mA,impedance 767ohms, but i think this is calculated from units, not a real reading.

If I ping the network requesting network voltage, I get 32.5V and 32.1V for the dimmer and PCI, but 0.5V for the switches. Is this normal? Also each time I ping I either get the correct 4 units or incorrectly 4+1 or 4+2 units where the extra unit type is 'unknown' rescan.

    Stuck!

Thank you for that, I was able to the pre enable a software burden. All works, again thank you.
