Ability to automatically propagate tag changes across all networks on a project whenever an address is removed/renamed. This is also sorely missing from homegate. Why is there no communication between toolkit and homegate when you're using them at the same time? Why can't toolkit/homegate poll the .xml for changes then update accordingly? This isn't genius programming here. If you're gunna start to charge for homegate 4.0 then make it worth the licence fee.

Ability to global program EVERY OPTION on a switch/dlt. It would bring upa page where it looks exactly like the normal unit edit screen except all the group address' are greyed out. So every single visual/non-address related option can be changed:

Example, shutter relays that come from factory as PROPORTIONAL MODE and there's no way to global program that option across all 40+ or however many shutter relays. I mean who the hell woudl ever use blinds in PROPORTIONAL MODE!?!? Its the most puzzling option in the world, "I'll take my blinds at 60% please"? Comeon!

Option for just ONE 'overview' application log, this would merge all cgate data from all networks to just one page, and the ability to edit units WITHOUT having to first click on the UNITS page to load them.

Ability to find all units associated with any group address REGARDLESS of which network you're currently viewing.
I know this can be done clunkily via the application tree on the left hand window but if you're currently viewing a network that has no relays/switches associated with it, it will just display nothing. Annoying when you're doing service calls on places you're unfamiliar with.

Everything you suggest is on the to-do list. There are only a certain number of people, with a great many things to do.

Now I KNOW that sounds like an excuse so please dont go into a long and grumpy reply. Its both an excuse and a reason.

For your info, The various pieces of software comprise in total something like 4 million lines of code. It might not be "genius programming", but it is a *lot* of work, and it also needs to make sure that a bunch of other things are not broken at the same time.

If I had a magic wand and could way it to do these things, I would. Sadly, its all far more complicated than that. It is known, it is considered, it may or may not be done (if your read enough in here you will know that no commitment will ever be given to dates and feature sets, an inability to meet expectations only leads to cranky recriminations.)

Oh - an shutter relays... well, proportional mode is in there for a reason. Some people like it. Some also really do want blinds, shutters, curtains etc, partly open.

Its a case of you can't please all the people all of the time. If you feel that strongly, please contact your sales rep and ask for the feedback to be sent to the product managers - who take account the feelings of many customers before making a decision about feature sets, etc. If they get enough feedback, a running change to the defaults can be made. But I can assure you, a single complaint here WILL NOT lead to a running change to the standard configuration state.
