I know a lot of features creep in with firmware updates and this can make keeping track of which units can do what quite difficult (eg Scene Toggle), particularly on a site that has had successive updates. Even new stock arrives with different versions.

I take it that almost none of the units have field updateable firmware :-( , but do CIS offer a firmware update service , or is it on an 'as needed' basis ? Whichever, it would be really helpful if you could arrange a facility in UK/Europe too such that returns don't have to travel so far with long turnaround times, and also traverse customs, duties etc. Any chance ??

    Sorry.

Units have the firmware in a mask-programmed ROM.

This means its built into a metal layer by the maker of the microprocessor.

Firmware cannot be updated after a unit has shipped.
