Are you running the latest version of PICED, i.e. 3.8.0?

I made the same mistake as well. It is asking for 2.20 to 2.39. You have version 2_5 (rather 2.05). There is a newer version with Piced that needs to be loaded (2.21).

    Hope that helps.

I think you might be referring to 2_2 (or rather 2.02) which is older than 2_5 and 2_21

    Hope that makes sense .....

So when you load the V2.21 firmware into the PAC, the status LED stays on ?

I was just wanted to make sure I understood what you were observing.

If the LED is always on, it means that there is a problem with the configuration data (project) data. Did you transfer the data at the same time as the firmware ?

You may need to try transferring the configuration data again.

:p sorry for the wrong information i have gave.. the truth is this..
for the firmware version 2.21 the indicator status is in rapid connstant flash, it mean the firmware was corrupt..

for the 2.3 version, the indicator stay on, it mean the data corrupt.but what make me confuse is when i try to re transfering the data configuration, the sofware again told me the firmware are unsupported like what i attach below
    [IMG]
i have try to retransfering the data configuration, but the piced still ask for the supported firmware.

for the 2.4 version the indicator status is in rapid constant flash. mean again the firmware was corrupted..

i'm using the piced ver 3.8.0.0

    thanks

    regard

Darren. Ive been getting the same errors on one particular site but havent been back to try with Piced 3.8.0.0. Is there a problem with the firware what is the correct firmware to use with Piced 3.8.0.0? The only work around I found was to install an older version of firware then install the project data. I cant remember the led status but can you explain what it should be when downloading. regards

PICED V3.8 is only compatible with PAC and C-Touch firmware versions 2.20.00 to 2.39.99 as shown in the error box shown above and as listed in the Help | Software Properties box.

The project data transferred to the unit must be compatible with the firmware in the unit.

If you use PICED V3.8 to transfer a project and an incompatible firmware version (such as 2.4), then it will not work.

If you transfer just the firmware to a unit and the project in it is not compatible with the firmware just transferred, it will not work.

If you transfer just the project to a unit and the firmware in it is not compatible with the project just transferred, it will not work (PICED prevents you from doing this).

The safest thing to do is transfer both at once if you are at all unsure.

There are no known issues with updating PAC units to using firmware V2.21.

The Status LED will flash at 2.5Hz if the firmware is operating correctly. It will flash at around 5Hz if the firmware is corrupted. It is a little hard to tell the difference. Maybe it was working fine all along

Darren Im am still having a problem with the firware version for the PACs. It seems that when you download the firware PAC 2_3mot with the project the Status led stays on and the program logic does not run. When I go back to download the next time I get the same error Incompatable firmware version etc etc. I then have to download the firware PAC 2_1mot then the project file to get it working? any ideas to why the firware 2_3 doesnt work with my project. Also I noticed that the daylight savings didint adjust either last sunday morning as per the schedule that was set up in the PACS. There is three of them on a backbone with a power supply that are controlling seven networks. Im not sure if the time adjustment should be set on all of the PACS in the shedules or just one. Any help would be appreciated.

As described in post #11 of this thread, different versions of firmware are compatible with specific versions of project files. If you are using PICED V3.8, you MUST use V2.21 or later PAC firmware.

You should only need to have the Daylight Savings Schedule in one PAC. I will look into why you may not have had the time change correctly.

We have done some testing and found that the daylight savings change does not work on the PAC. We will endeavour to have this fixed before the next daylight savings change (end of March).
