Garden Sprinkler control....?

    So I'm going on vacation and wanted to make sure my veggies don't die while I'm gone. I have a pump submerged in a tank wired to a dimmer on a channel. A few questions:

    1. Whats the best way of having the dimmer automatically turn on for 60 seconds every 12 hours?
    2. Is it easier to create a timer that says off for X, then on for Y, repeat?

    Assuming you have a device the supports schedules, just create one that pulses the appropriate group for the required ON time as often as you like
