These are just some suggestions of things to look at, I'm sure some of the other guys will be able to give you better answers.

    - Check your mains voltage, if it is fluctuating, it could possibly cause problems.

    - Check that your network voltage isnt too low, it should be between 25-36v DC

    - Check that you have between 1-4 system clock/s enabled, no less, no more

    - Check the total impedance of your cabling, it should be between 400 to 1,400 ohms

I would also hope that your cabling is less than 1 km total in length?

    - Also, if you can, check your mains supply frequency.

Check these things in several parts of your system, at least a few times, if you can.
Also, I dont know about Singapore, but I know that in Australia, if you call your Power Supply Company, and tell them you think there is a problem with your mains power, usually they will put a "logger" onto the power lines near your premises, and monitor the voltages and frequencies of all 3 phases for a week or so, to see if there is anything wrong.

    Hope this helps :)

Small breaks in supply would result in the settings you've programmed for Restore functionality happening.. perhaps you've got some outputs units set to restore to pre-determined levels?

    Hey alson !

I had a similar problem on one project, where one channel of a 8 channel dimmer had a ghost that turned it on every so often. It was a downlight directly over an 8 year old girl's bed, and it inevitably happened during the night so it was fairly noticeable. I went to checked a number of times, but it would never do it when I went to site - however I trusted the client and daughter weren't trying to taunt me.

After phoning CIS Tech Support, we worked out a method to test it without logging (the client did not have a computer we could leave connected to the system). All that was required (for client to do) was wait until the ghost turned on the light, then to quickly check :

    a) Was the corresponding switch LED illuminated ?
    - in our case, it was not. This implied that there wasn't a command issued over the C-Bus to turn on the light.

    B) Was the corresponding Local Over-ride LED on the C-Bus Unit illuminated ?
    - in our case, once again it was not. This implied that the dimmer itself didn't really know it'd turned on that channel.

Anyway, after reporting that back to CIS they sent me a new dimmer, I re-programmed it and after installation never heard from client again. Dimmer is now in an Adeliade garbage bin I guess ?

If your ghost is only affecting the same light(s) every time, try to gather as much info as possible then phone the CIS Tech hotline ...and let them run through a method to identify what's going on.
    - They sure helped me !

    Cheers, John

What output unit Relay or Dimmer?

    Wired or Wirless system?

What type of load are you controlling?

If you are using a dimmer channel to act as a solid state switch and turn a flourescent light on and off (particularly if it is a compact flourescent) then you may well be seeing the load come on now and again due to leakage current through the Dimmer channel even while the channel is off.
