There has been some very passionate debate recently about Toolkit running on Windows 7. It would be helpful if the Clipsal web pages were updated to ensure that users were informed of the required OS that should be used.

There are two links at the bottom of this page http://www2.clipsal.com/cis/technical/downloads/.

The green link could be updated to clarify the compatibility with both 32 & 64 bit versions of Windows.

The red link is way out of date. It indicates that Tookit will not be compliant with Vista until 2009.

Toolkit and Windows 7 64 bit.

We have not experienced any generic incompatibilities between C-Bus Tookit and Windows 7 64 bit for several years now.

We have had Toolkit installing and operating fine on our Windows 7 64 bit PCs over this time - including the recent Version 1.12.1 Toolkit.

Home Owner's Guide for connecting their PC to C-Bus using Toolkit.

For those home owners considering connecting their Windows PC to their C-Bus using Toolkit for the purposes of making changes to their home automation progamming:

You may find important points and a link to a very specific custom pdf guide on how to do this on the following page:

So in simple terms a PC with some software and a connection to C-bus! But what connection all depends upon the type of PC interface one has.

Very whishy washy and not all that helpful.

    +1

    LOL!!!

And I suppose CIS continues to remain happy with this beautifully "simple" software upgrade process?
