Yeah what's the go here? I just had an argument-by-proxy re buying Homegate v3. I need to order a heap of cbus gear but when you ring Clipsal they say that v2 is the only version, despite v3 being in the trade catalogue.

If I buy v2 now, do I have to pay AGAIN for v3? That seems a bit strange seeing as they're advertising v3 now.

I thought it would be reasonable that if you buy v2 now you'd get v3 for free ... having v3 in the catalogue makes me feel like I'm buying an obsolete product straight up.

I would recommend contacting your local sales rep and talking to him about it. Technically, there is no "grace" period, but I find the CIS Sales guys to be very helpful in resolving these sort of issues.

It's coming along quite nicely now. And no I'm not really invloved in that project so I'm not too biased :)

We use the freeware and opensource program "Mantis".

"Mantis" is only available within the Schnieder Electric network. However, we are investigating ways to expose parts of the system to the public.

I thought that V3 was still Beta?

And it wasn?t supposed to be installed on commercial sites?

    That's correct.

    That's correct as well.

I don't believe anyone in this thread has suggested otherwise.

    Beta

From the nature of the questions above you should be able to see that the questions are when the software will be available, and pleading to have a "peek" etc. V3 is not out to the ever patient C-bus installers - just yet. ;)
