Last night I suddenly got this error after installing PICED 4.3. I messed around with PICED and afterwards I tried to load Homegate with my project and it gave me a strange "Error reading file" error. I start Homegate with commandline parameters, see below.

    C:\CLIPSAL\HomeGate\HomeGate.exe "House 'de Jager'.ctd" /www /jpeg=low /syncschedules /cgate /log=enable /log=append /autosave /operate

I am running HG 3.9 but even tried to run 4.3 with the same results. During the loading process it asks me to load a backup copy of the file, when I click 'No' it opens the file window, I then choose the original file "House 'de Jager'.ctd" and it loads without any issues.

The strange thing is that I've uninstalled PICED, reinstalled Toolkit and Homegate but the problem is still there. It must be something with my file, any ideas why it doesn't want to load via the commandline??

what happens if you try the full path and filename, instead of just the file name?

Now I feel a bit like an a#%. It works. Lessons learnt:

    1. Don't try to fix something 22:00 at night, get a good night sleep in first.
    2. Don't expect something to work just because it worked before.

I had the working directory set to where my project files was and it was perfect until yesterday... Thanks Richo.
