    Hi,

I am reprogramming some old Homegate projects, and having a bit of trouble with laying out the pages.

The Project is to be displayed at 1024x768 and my laptop's monitor only goes to 1024x768. Because of the Homegate window border, toolbars, etc I can't see the whole page or place objects at the top or bottom of the page(s).

What is wierd is that there's no scrollbars in the Homegate window, and I can't find a way to enable them or scroll the page. Nothing in the help file about it, and I can't find any option in the Registry under HKLM or HKCU\Software\CIS\Homegate. Is this a unique "feature" of Homegate 1.3, or is there a way to solve it?

Currently I am trying a virtual desktop of 1280x1024 and running Homegate on that. This allows me to see the whole Homegate page, but I then have to scroll my desktop around by bumping the screen edges with the mouse to access stuff (hard to explain, but a PITA).

I couldn't find any bug fixes / patches for Homegate v1.x on the downloads page.... Does anyone have a fix ?

    Thanks very much, John

PS: I realise that this version of Homegate is very out-of-date... but the client owns the licence and sees no reason to update it (Homegate is working well, it's just a problem for me to re-vamp the pages).

Thanks Darren (although it wasn't the answer I was looking for)

LOL - v1.3 was the first release, so we really were innovators running that version! It also shows that the base product was pretty good, as the only problem has been that there were memory leaks on Win98SE on an old Celeron500 box, so we had to upgrade to a decent PC and WinXP. 2 separate screens have been up continuously for almost 12 months without even a reboot, and haven't had any other glitches !

Could you please explain the situation with Product Code 5000HGUP3 - is that also only for upgrade of v2, or can I use it with v1.x as well?

    Thanks, JC

The upgrade package will upgrade from any previous version.
