Has anyone tried running Homegate Web Access on the PS3 browser? I tried it today and found that the PS3 browser somehow doesn't pass the correct username and password to Homegate. I have to use the following url to get a login page: http://<homegate ip>/login/login.jsp. If I only use http://<homegate ip> then I get a blank screen only.

Once I enter the username and password I get an "Access Denied!" message.

I have to say that Homegate is running fine from my PC browser so it's not a configuration error.

I am not sure of the cause of this problem. You could try using the old CGI script to control HomeGate. It should work with any browser.

The script itself is in C:\Clipsal\HomeGate\CGI

If you look in C:\Clipsal\HomeGate\Projects\Examples\Example 3 - Web Control 1\Read me.txt there is a description of how to make it work.

Thanks Darren. I got it working using http://<homegate ip>/login/loginredirect.jsp. Seems like the embedded PS3 browser isn't all that "full featured" as Sony says.

Is my method still safe to use? I just now have to see if it's reliable...
