On our test setup in the office we have Homegate running with PCI connection to CBus Network.

We now how another instance of Homegate running on a seperate PC using the Network connection back to the main Homegate machine.

We amended the access.txt to do this, can i just add more IP addresses to allow more instances.

Is the Homegate/CGate license for as many instances of Homegate in one property as we want ?

If not what do we need to acheive this.

    Thanks

    Dean.

The Homegate / Schedule Plus licences relate to the number of (Cbus) networks that you are connectioning to.

Most software licences are 'per seat' (per computer). I image that Clipsal operate in the same way - 1 copy of HomeGate / Schedule Plus per computer & network licences to match the number of Cbus networks.

As Peter says, you do require one license per computer running the HomeGate software.

We do allow you to just purchase one copy which is licensed for the full number of networks, and this is the one which connects to C-Gate/C-Bus. So, for example, if you had 10 networks and 4 computers, you would purchase one license suitable for 10 networks and 3 single network licenses. The 3 single network lincense versions will have to connect to the C-Gate of the fully licensed computer (which will need to be running all of the time).
