Designing/Quoting on a retrofit install for
House 3 Floors 110 Wireless switches/Dimmers will split up with 8 Wireless gateways

Cottage 1 22 Wireless switches/dimmers will split up with 3 Wireless gateways

Cottage 2 18 Wireless switches/dimmers will use 1 Wireless gateway

Staff & security 10 Wireless switches/dimmers will use 1 Wireless gateway

Also have 5 x 12 Channel Relay modules
    1 x General input unit
5 x Colour Touch Screens Non Cbus running Homegate
    5 x Bus Couplers

    My Questions are
1 Will homegate see each network as seperate (Homegate 5 network License)
Do I need to use Schedule Plus Rather?
2 Will I be able to use as many Wireless gateways?
    3 Would this work?
    4 Any suggestions?

On reading your stats I felt a tightening in my chest. I might be feeling the stress you are about to feel. :)

I am not sure C-Bus wireless was meant for such vast arrangements. Such large numbers indicate large areas - what experience do you have with very low powered RF ?

One of the boys from the brains trust might offer you some guidance here...

All the best of luck - you may need it ;)

Its ambitious but I can see no reason why it won't work.

You are proposing a lot of things right:

    - using a lot of wireless gateways, so you will have a series of small wireless networks. This is GOOD!

Here are some hints to make things go smoothly:

    - bring one wireless network at a time on

    - make sure that in each unit the "repeat transmit" option is turned on, this in the global tab (from memory)

    - if you run big scenes from homegate or schedule plus, put delays in between portions because you will have a LOT of wireless traffic in the same vicinity and you may suffer from congestion and loss of messages. Delays will space the traffic out and reduce the effects of congestion. Delays only need to be 1-2 seconds.

    - make sure you use the very latest version of Toolkit for commissioning.

    - when linking a wireless network to a gateway, make sure you have genuine separate wireless networks by having them all in separate house codes. This just means to start the process of linking the units together into their networks FROM A DIFFERENT ORIGINAL "master" unit

    Hope that helps.

Remember - bring it on a little at a time!

    Gateway comms

In the Planning remember that a wireless gateway will only communicate to the adjacent network and one other network. Therefore any two way switching between wireless networks needs to be considered.
