I have recently downloaded toolkit 1.7.4 to a new desktop running Vista Ultimate. Toolkit software works fine however I cannot import projects.
Error: "Projects cannot be imported as C-Bus Installation Software Version 2 not found"
    Any help? Thanks.

To import old V2 projects you need to have C-Bus Installation Software Version 2 installed. It is available here http://www2.clipsal.com/cis/technical/downloads/deprecated_software .

Maybe it's not importing of old V2 projects you want, but the restore functionality. (Can't recall exact name, but it is in the file menu). This is used for restoring projects you backed up using Toolkit.

    Thanks Richo,
Unfortunatly it was an error message that was encountered on the first screen after "import" was selected so the software would not have known what version the project to be imported was going to be. I am going to try a work around of simply copying the .xml file (i'll check that extension before doing it) and let you know how it goes.

    Copying .xml files worked fine.
Interestingly the same error message was given on my notebook when I tried to export the project. It runs XP so it's not a Vista ssue.

"Import" is *only* for V2 backup files. If the file is a .cbz you need the "restore" feature, not import.

As advised the error appears before the project is slected. Not a worry though as copying the .xml file on my notebook for the project I wanted to import to my desktop worked fine.

As advised, just clicking the import button without V2 installed will raise the error.

If you have an XML file then importing is not what you want to do anyway. Importing only handles V2 backup files .CB2 extension.
