Hi.I am having problems installing my cbus hardware to my network. Now Assuming my network is set up properly, I am using C-Bus Toolkit software (the latest version) & it recongizes I have set up a network, I have added new units to the database, but can not seem to figure out how to transfer them to my network. What I was thinking was ... my network may not be set up properly, but according to C Bus Toolkit .. all systems are go!.. If anybody has had this issue or can help me out - that would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

More information needed.. what have you done so far in Toolkit? have you managed to scan the network and seen the units you've installed?

I have managed to create a new project in Tool Kit, that seems to be connected to a network that I set up.
In the the sub menu - LOCAL NETWORK, I get the information: 4 units not calculated & Result: 1 burdern required. Im not familiar with what this information actually means?? The Units I have installed are only listed on the Project database, rather than the Network.
I hope this info helps a little?...

Just getting back to basic, you need 1-2-3 to get started:

    (1) Network Power: Is any unit has C-Bus power supply?
    (2) Network clock: Is any unit has "clock" enable? (normally the PCI should have by default)
    (3) Network Burden: can be hardware (The little Red thing that came with PCI) or software (by programming on the Unit Address 01 unit.)

If you have all these, the toolkit software should be able to scan your "network". Things in database doesn't mean anything because you can add anything into the database.

Or you can use the C-Bus "Learn" method to get the network start without using computer.

Have you attended a C-bus training course?
