    Hi Guys,

    Simple one for the installers.

Can you insulation resistance test the 230V side of the C-bus hardware?

    Hi Dave,
This is called a test and tag test, it checks for that, and several other critical tests. Their are many people who do this as a service. Just look on the web for test and tag services in your area. I do this in-house for our company.
Their is an Australian standard that covers how this is done - AS3760, usually you need a P.A.T. device - portable appliance tester. And someone who is licenced to do the tests.

    regards

    Hi Znelbok,
Megger testing, yep it's one of the tests performed by a P.A.T. unit that does a suite of tests to conform to the standard. You could also have one unit to do one of those tests only, But that doesn't cover AS3760 as a complete test.

    regards

Check out wiring rules AS 3000 it explains testing an installation with electronic devices
In particular section 8.3.6 insulation resistance.
