Irrigation Manager

I have been playing with the irrigation manager on a c-touch which appears to be quite powerful however I am having a bit of trouble understanding how it works.

I understand that it creates groups that I can use for my relay tags and schedules times/days etc, however it doesn't appear to have anything that decides which season it should be working with as depicted in the help examples not to mention all the reference to enable triggers and master enables. At this stage I think it might be easier for me to create some simple logic to perform the operation instead of trying to use the plugin it just seems either way too advanced or missing something. If in the future the gui gets changed for the irrigation control I feel it would be a great idea to have an advanced drop down - homeowners let alone simple minded programmers won't know where to start with this tool.

I love the c-touch but somethings just dont need to be this hard.

Is there any help on this plugin anywhere on the web?

 

I have managed to figure out the irrigation control - this should really be covered in the course if it is not now integrated in it. There was one mistake I made that cost me an hour finding, however the system still took me 3 hrs to get running and test with overide controls - maybe if the help run through was in greater depth/detail. Though it is already one of the better examples an example template page might assist if it had override controls on it. For some reason the enable control on mine when using auto add was messed about.

I must also comment that it is a fairly powerful plugin and allows great control for large installation though a simplified gui with advanced drop down could help.

 

We put a lot of work into simplifying the irrigation manager in PICED V4. Which version of PICED are you using ?
