I have read in training manual for DLT switch like primary and secondary appliaction, multiple applications can be controlled by key input, that is , "If a red 'M' is shown adjacent to the key group this indicates that Multiple applications have been selected, or in other worlds, the Key controls Groups in both the Primary and Secondary applications"..For what it is used..?do anyone got any idea about this..?

    Hi Godwin Mathew,

When doing advanced programming of keys on such input units as DLT you need to know that internally groups are associated with keys not directly but through blocks. I.e. group can be associated with a block and that block in turn can be associated with a key or multiple keys.

Group on a block can belong to the primary or secondary application and several blocks can be associated with a single key. Now if you open Blocks tab on the DLT unit GUI, select there primary application group in one block and secondary application group in some other block and then associate both blocks with a single key, that key will be operating on two groups that belong to two different applications.

If you program one key as suggested above and make it On/Off key, this key when pushed will be toggling groups on two applications simultaneously. So for example, if you have room lights on Lighting application (56) and Multi-room Audio equipment on the Audio Control application (117) , you can control both with a single key.

In this regards DLT units are the same as Neo, Saturn and a few other key units.

The detailed information on how to configure blocks and groups on primary and secondary applications you can find in Toolkit Help.

    Regards,
    George
