    Hi,

I think this post is really aimed at someone at CIS :)

I have written my own java based home automation software for controlling my house / monitoring power usage / controlling aircon etc. and would very much like to interface it to CBUS now.

I really only want to be able to read and set group addresses for the moment. Given cgate is written in java this should be trivial. Would some nice person at CIS have a handy piece of code lying around that shows connect/disconnect group set / group read. I am sure this is not supported and I don't expect it to be but it would make my life much easier :) - a private email is fine. I also won't mind if you change the api either :) Its your right !

It doesn't have to be documented or anything - my java programming level is expert - I run a team building enterprise trading systems in java for banks - so I can probably use anything you have lying around.

I also have no intention of releasing my work.

    Thanks
    Chris

The search function is your friend.

Have a poke around here. The C-Gate manuals have (finally) been released, admittedly in a draft form. There was a post here about it sometime in the last couple of weeks (or so).

    The post references a download.

It's worth mentioning that we only provide the mechanism to access C-Gate via TCP-IP sockets and have no native direct java interface to C-Gate. We can't supply any sample Java code for accessing C-Gate as we have no clients written in Java.
