This might seem an out dated post now we are living in the world Of Toolkit 1.1.?
Although I 'm enjoying the benifits of the new software There are occasions where sending a simple txt command On 1/56/08 has it uses;-)

For the life of me I can't seem to get Cgate 1.5 or Cgate 2 to run from telnet
    I can NOOP
    I can GET CBUS NETWORKS
    and get the reply
    Networks =1
But when I try and go any further I get nothing
    Units=
I even get a response from tree 1

I even try logging on across the network
all I get is connection refused

    Ive tried following the manuals
Login says what ever I put in the ACCESS.txt
    Monitor
    program
    admin

I'm obviously missing the last bit of fully connecting to Cgate and onwards to cbus
Tis at times like this that you realse how clever toolkit and homegate are.
please team, help me just issue one command that turns a light on

    thanks indvance

I seem now to have had some success with hypeterminal

    lighting ramp //projectname/254/56/1 200 4
    lighting ramp //projectname/254/56/1 60 8
    lighting off //projectname/254/56/1
    lighting on //projectname/254/56/1

all seem to work via an already opened C-gate and tweaking the Access.txt as stated in the notes

Is there any chance of a full write up of Cgate 2 as the like of which appears for Cgate 1.5?
    Thanks in advance
    Mike

I would say your chances are very good. :)

The command documentation is being finalised. We are waiting for the final tweaks to C-Gate to completed so that we don't publish anything that then has to be changed. The goal is to keep the greatest level of backwards compatiablity at all times.
