Looking at the L5108RELVP in toolkit, it states when hovering over the channel name, ie: Channel 1 (P1), "Only channels from the same pair can be switched simutaneously".

    Can someone elaborate on this?

If I had four channels switching 4 AC units on/off, if all four of these were to switch on at once by a scene, would this not work? Can only two channels be switched at a time?

The 8-Channel L5108RELVP takes it's power from C-Bus and as such it has limited power for being able to toggle the state of it's relays. It can switch, at a maximum, 2 channels simultaneously. Once it's switched 2 channels, it needs to wait for a little while to recharge, ready for the next relay switching operation. To give predictable behaviour, the channels are paired up so that channel pairs switch together. You won't see channels 4 and 5 switching at the same time, for example. This is helpful in applications require simultaneous switching of independent circuits, such as 3rd party blind controls.

If your Scene was turning on 4 relay channels you would see 2 channels turn on, then a pause (1 second from memory), then the second 2 channels would turn on.

This switching delay is purely a function of the fact that the unit is powered directly from C-Bus. If you require all 4 relays to switch simultaneously you will need to buy a powered relay, such as an L5504RVF.

    Great, thanks Newman.

As long as it turns on after a delay that should suit the situation fine. Good to know that detail for next time also.:D
