    Hi

I have an installation using DSI gateways and 20A relay units to control feature lighting in a commercial installation. Levels are controlled by logic statements written in the Mk11 touchscreen. These statments are triggered via a 4 channel aux input unit which receives signals from a 3rd party BMS system.

I have noticed a strange fault which I am not sure how to rectify. When the relay groups are triggered on, they are not switching. However when you use the black tabs on the relay and manually switch them on or off they work. The DSI gateway lighting works perfectly. I thought this was a fault so have changed one of the units however am getting the same fault.

The relays themselves are switching the coil on a contactor which is nowhere near the capapcity of the relay unit.

Do the channel indicators on the relays light up when you switch the corresponding groups on?

Do the relays switch if you operate the channel button?

Are the other indicators on the unit lit?

Is there any logic configured, turn on delays, or turn on thresholds set in the relay unit?

If you try to switch with the channel toggle buttons it will not switch however if you use the black push switches it turns the load on or off.
There are no thresholds or logic set in the unit and all the CBUS and unit lights are on.

The black push switches physically operate the relay contacts, so that's not surprising.

It is odd that the relays don't operate when you operate the channel toggle buttons (although this can be disabled).

Do the channel indicators illuminate when you operate the channel toggle buttons?

Do the channel indicators illuminate when you control the corresponding groups?
