Yes.. It's a significant improvement in many areas with many new features. Been testing for a couple of months. Due to an NDA, I'm not permitted to say too much about it though.

Does anyone know exactly when this gets released and where it's likely to be announced? I'm very keen to update.

It's out, some new features, supports dimmable LED's via leading or trailing edge dimming, no PWM from the looks, at least based on my reading.

Great news is 8 channels in one unit, so some board space savings.

I can't seem to post links without the post going to moderation, so just search "c bus LED dimmer" and several links come up. The spec sheets are on the SE web site now, and it's listed by wholesalers here in New Zealand at least.

For those that've tested this, how does it compare to the dimming capability of the universal dimmer for led lights? Any plans to do a bit of a review of the new features at some point?

I put one in the other day. Didn't have much time to do further testing. However, it did manage a problematic load quite well.
4 Ch can manage 2 different circuits instead of 4 like the previous version... something to be mindful of.

My installer just replaced the very very old original dimmers with 2 x 5508D1D.
The globes were replaced a few years ago from Halegon to LED 12v globes.
LEDs are Philips Master LED MR16 7w dimmable.
    These were all working prior.
The transformers originally were the old iron transformers and some were later replaced with possum transformers.
So there is a mix of the 2 transformers.

The issue now is that some of the lights work and some do not.
If you turn them on, some will flash and then turn off, even though the dimmer shows them as on.

Would anyone know what type of transformers are best for these dimmers with these LED lights?
