Live Levels

    This may be a really dumb question but....

    When Toolkit is started and connected to the network it does not (seem to) display the current live levels of the GA's UNTIL they are changed from either Toolkit, Homegate or some other input.

    Is there anyway to get Toolkit to refresh itself with all the current live values? I have the Live Levels option set but I suspect this means update Toolkit when something changes on the network so it doesn't have any effect when Toolkit is first started.

    Thanks for the patience if I've missed something obvious.....

    Hi Andrew,

    Yes you are right, Live Levels option is there to make Toolkit aware of level changes on the network when Toolkit is already running. Levels in Toolkit will not be set automatically to their values as on the network after connecting to the network. We are aware of this issue and things may change one day... Sorry, can't promise it will happen soon though.

    This behaviour is normal.

    Interrogation of currently active levels is possible in some circumstances and for most modern units will yield the truth. For some older units it's not supported. And for some setups using strangeness (like logic) then interrogation of active levels may be either useless, misleading, or downright dangerous (eg phantom groups).

    Thanks for the feedback.

    All units on my network were purchased in June last year so are relatively new. Queries via C-Gate console all yield the correct results - I was just interested (confirming) my thoughts how Toolkit works. No dramas :)
