    Hi

First of all I have not searched the forum for the problem that I encountered today, when working on a live network with Toolkit 1.6.1

When making programming changes on a live network I was using the upper database section to do the programming changes and then clicking "OK or Apply" and then selecting save to database & network which appeared to happen.

After a couple of programming changes the installation was not behaving as expected. I then used the Network section to bring up dimmers or key inputs and saw that the changes had not been saved on the Network side.

I thought that this was strange and then continued my programming by only using the components listed on the live network side and found that only then the changes were saved to both the database and live network.

Is this a fault? and or should I always make changes to the live network side of Toolkit for the changes to be recorded on both the network and database?

    Len

Do the unit address numbers match up in the database ? Are they the same ?

    Hi Len,

I have always been using the first approach without any problems, i.e. opening database unit and then saving to both network and database...

Can you please post more details on this issue? What was the unit type? Any chance there were 2 or more units at that address on the network (which often happens when the unit is at address 255)? Was this a local or a bridged network?

    Regards,
    George
