Maybe this question raised already not once, but in Russia, for example (as, I suppose in any european/american country), lack of LON interface stops corporate sells very very strongly. Only home market remains, where LON is not being used usually.

This is one of 3 issues, which stop now C-Bus from faster growing in these regions (others - no thermostat and GIU not helping/hard to get "open protocol" to develop compatible units).

All this is EIB advantage now, which is not good.

    Anything changing in these directions?

The C-Bus protocol is "open" in the sense that it can be obtained via the C-Bus Enabled Program. http://www.cbus-enabled.com/

C-Bus enablet did not help yet

    Darren thank you=)
I know about this site from the moment, it opened, but this helps a little. Did you notice complete unsuccess of C-Bus enabled programm?

For LON you may see here (http://www.lonmark.org/about/memblist.cfm) the list of partners and developers. For EIB (which is direct competitor) - more than 100 companies, including such name as Siemens, ABB, Legrand etc.

Hard to compare with Comfort + Axeze. TAC was needed to someone (including very big building company in Russia)? Nowhere to get, ask for Australian TAC...

Some developers tryed to get C-Bus protocol through myself and C-Bus enabled. They were answered: work through C-Gate. This means you should use Windows or Linux in JAVA based product, which is not good for any developer. What needed is direct protocol (C-Bus or RS232), which may be received after filling application on C-Bus development kit within 10 weeks "if" you will be granted with such kind.

As result, we have only russian 1 software product, windows based, working through server, which costs 2-5000 Eur.

And still no LON interface=) Sorry to be so long
