The C-Touchs I mean, have a site were 2 out of the 4 BW C-Touchs have lost the touch ability, so when they boot up I can not get past the first screen - see pic.
But if I connect to them with Piced they can be controlled and perform most of the functions, just no touch.

    any ideas ??

Using PICED to display the C-Touch screen and to "click" on the screen bypasses all of the C-Touch hardware and some of the firmware.

It could be a calibration problem, but that seems unlikely. If you click anywhere on the start-up screen except for the OK button, the firmware assumes that the calibration is way out, and it resets it to the default settings.

The most likely cause is a hardware fault. If the units are in warranty, return them to be fixed. If they are out of warranty, you could try pulling them apart and jiggling the connectors on the screen. It is possible there is a bit of oxidation on the connectors, or they may have come loose.

Thought about salt on the screen itself, been very very wet, humid and salty here for couple of weeks and this place only 200 metres from beach.
Come to think of it we got another 2 C-Touchs on way way to factory that stopped working and that place always having door hinges rust up, so maybe you onto some thing here.

Also tried to calibrate using Piced, trouble is the time out in the firmware to short, Piced not able to display the full page before firmware times out and errors.

    tks

You will not be able to calibrate from PICED. The calibration requires that you press on the actual screen so that it can allow for manufacturing variations in the physical touch panel.
