Are you referring to streaming (internet radio or similar) needing a PC?

If so, it doesn't. You *should* be able to turn the PC off once a streaming radio source has been started.

    Hi Stargaze,

Ripple must be left running to keep internet streaming running. As soon as Ripple is closed the internet radio stream will be stopped.

This is because there must be a means of stopping an internet radio stream once its been started. Currently there is no means of controlling an internet radio stream from C-Bus.

If the stream were to be started and left running the customers bandwidth would be continually consumed until Ripple were restarted and the stream stopped. Internet radio at an average rate of 128kbps will consume 40Gb per month of data.

    Regards,

    Matty
