    Hey

No problem scanning or entering codes. Is this right that when you scan the network live for the fist time all the units still start with the unit address 255.

how does it work, i thought when you scanned the network it would reconise the serial numbers straight away any give it the correct unit address.

Or is the only way to unravel,
    then check serial numbers,
then download to network from database,
the open each unit separtly live on the network and save like in version 2.

thanks doing a great job, ben

    Hi Ben,

Units ship from our factory with a Unit Address of 255. When you first scan a network after installing units from the factory the software will detect that unit conflicts exist and offer to do an 'unravel', a process which will ensure that every unit has a unique unit address.

Subsequent to this, you can elect to to re-address all of your units to match your database (based on Serial Number). You can invoke this process by pressing the "Match Serials" button in the "Units on Network View". Where a serial number match exists between your DB and your Network the unit on the network will be re-addressed to match.

If you want to do this one unit at a time you can select the Unit on the Network to be re-addressed and press the "Set Addr -> DB" button, if a serial number match exists in the DB the unit will be readdressed to match. If no serial number match exists the software will allow you to select a compatible unit from the Database the Network Unit will be re-addressed to match the selected unit.

    Hope this helps.
