hi all, need some help, what is the maximun unit of ballast can connect to this L5504amp ?? thanks..

i have also see some competitor module like dynalite, they a a unit that can control 1-10V ballast and DSI balast.. what a nice item..

For our L5504amp, if we use this to control a fluorescent lamp, we need also to use a relay for the Fluorescent lamp cabel power, so the we can tur off the Fluorescent lamp. isn't it. if we doesn't use ot, the lamp wiil always on in 10%
    thanks..

Yes, you should use a relay to cut the power to the fluorescent ballast. Although some ballast manufacturers will turn the tube off when the control votlage is at 0 the ballast will still be using power, typically 1W.

The maximum number of ballasts that can be connected to an L5504AMP will depend upon the ballast type and how much current they sink/source. As shown in the Electrical Specificaions for the L5504AMP it can sink 8mA and source 2.5mA. You'll need to look up the specs of your ballasts to work out how many you can use.

For example, if your ballasts source 1mA of power then you'll be able to connect 8 to a single channel of the L5504AMP.

Clipsal also sells DSI and DALI gateways for control of fluorescent ballasts with those protocols too.
