With block mounting Saturn rectangular key units what mount hardware and procedure is required?

For wall mounting Saturns in stud walls do you use the Clipsal 155 plate and fit directly to that?

Is the mounting for Neo the same as I will have a mixture of Saturn and Neo...both rectangular.

I looked for some reference material on fitting these off on the Clipsal website and could find anything....does some instruction exist?

    Thanks,

Neo's mount into a standard hole - so a 155 will work there

FRom waht I read on the saturn install instructions, there is nothing special needed wo the 155 will work there as well.

It is only when you want to use the EU key inputs that you need a special mount.

Saturn fits onto a standard clip, but you have to cut a big hole because most of the switch recesses into the plasterboard. There IS a special clip with smaller "grabby feet" on it, designed for 5mm thick walls but also works well with 10mm plaster.

You need to make sure that the plate fits off flush, which isn't easy when those 2 bendy things are sticking out on the surface of the plaster (gee, so hard to explain, someone help me here).

I'm sure there is a special plastic wall box for solid walls.

If you need part numbers, drop me a line and I'll look them up when I am in the office.

Anyway, a very important thing about the Saturns - do NOT over-tighten the mounting screws. There is a notice to that effect inside the box, but who reads instructions???

The screws should be done up ONLY tight enough to stop the switch sliding around on the wall. If you tighten any more than that, then the backplate gets distorted and the glass face will not clip on.

Trust me on this, and check check check again that the faces are clipped on correctly. If they aren't you'll nee to loosen those screws off !
