I hope you can explain some things for me gents (and ladies if there are any on here). I have a 12 channel relay module which has the primary application as lighting but I have a few solinoids wired to it for my irrigation system.

I am now installing a touchscreen with homegate to control my system and have discovered that unless i have programed to the irrigation application on relays modules, etc that I cannot do things like master on/off, irrigation schedules and other cool stuff which will obviously do some strange things to any lighting that I have wired to it.

Where am I going horribly wrong?:confused:

You do not have to use the Irrigation Application for solenoids. You can use lighting if you want. The intent of the Irrigation Application is to keep unrelated messages/functionality separate for convenience.

You need to brush up on how the C-Bus Applications work. It is subtle and a lot of people get confused by this. Read the help file topic "Applications" and C:\Clipsal\Old Versions\PICED_4_7_1\Manuals\C-Bus Concepts.pdf

If you have any questions, please ask.
