Hi everyone. Im am realy new to these systems and have yet to complete any courses since they are about 3 months apart in my country and i just missed the last one.

The company I work for has just taken a project of fixing a botched job but I'm struggling with one problem.

C-BUS 12-chanel relays, 8-channel dimmers and Neo keypads have been installed to control the lighting. Also a Crestron system has been linked to use touch panels for remote control and feedback.

The problem I'm having is with the scene feedback. The scene on each keypad is set as a "master off" for that keypad, but it controls both relays and dimmers. The client wants a 20 second delay so I set the ramp time to 20 seconds. Everything works fine except the feedback for the relays. After the 20 second delay the Crestron touch panel shows that the dimmers have switched off but the relays are still on. The relays do in fact switch off.

The only way I've been able to fix this is by setting the ramp time to 0 on the scene. I would appreciate any advice.

On the surface of it, it sounds like a bug in the Crestron system.

To test this out, connect the C-Bus Diagnostic Utility to a spare PCI on the network and monitor the network traffic at the time you press the scene key. If all the network messages look correct then you know where to go looking, and based on the fact that the relays and dimmers turn off as expected you can be reasonably confident that this will be the case.

Why group addresses that are associated with dimmers would show up to the Crestron system as off, yet group addresses associated with relays would show up as being on, is a bit of a mystery. The C-Bus network messages controlling these devices are identical.

If the Crestron system is not processing the C-Bus messages properly you may be able to determine this by changing the order of the groups in the Scene. It may be the case that the Crestron system is receiving the first bit of the Scene, but losing the latter bits, and this coincides with your dimmer/relay channel order.
