There are at least three different problems described in this thread.

Are you seeing the "no C-Bus" icon in the corner of the screen appear occasionally, or is it something else?

    Hi Darren,

Yup, the "no C-Bus" icon apprears on the corner of the screen.

It's not occasionally but happens a couple of times.

We have the following units on the network,

    1x CTC
    1x PACA
    1x Shutter Relay
    2x Multiroom Amplifier
    1x IR transfer unit
1x din rail stand alone power supply

and we are using 1 software burden which is on the PACA.

I guess the C-Bus network power should be sufficient, is there any other things to consider for troubleshooting?

    Thanks,
    Andry

This can happen is the Colour C-Touch processor usage gets very high for extended periods. Can you enable the "Show Usage" option in the log and have it save to file. The next time this happens, grab the log and see whether there was excessive processor usage at the time.

    Colour C-Touch com port error

Appologies for reserecting this thread but there did not appear to give a definitive answer.

I have a client with the exact same problem, following a power failure the colour c-touch displays the no c-bus icon with an error message saying it cant connect to C-Bus as the Com port (3) is in use by another device.

I know C-Bus is present at the touch screen as if you replace it with another c-bus device (ie Bus Coupler) then scan the network, then the new device appears.

Is there any way of resolving this? I would have thought that this is just a Windows device configuration issue? Is it possible to get at windows O.S withou booting the touch screen firmware.

    Thanks
    Paul.
