    Hi friends!

I am trying to program a single L5508DSI on the network. For testing purpose I connected an 8 key neo to it. But whenever I scan the network, toolkit asks me create a "null project". I cannot see any unit except PCI on the network. CBus clock is enabled in and H/w burden is disabled in PCI. A physical burden is attached externally.

I tried programming in Learn mode too. But instead of double/alternate flash, I observe only unit LED blinking rapidly. CBus LED remains off. When I enter into program mode, keypad lights should go off as written in manual. But keypad LEDs remain on.

Please tell me if I am missing any step?

    Regards,
    Manas

    Hi Manas,

I'm not sure what you mean by "toolkit asks me create a 'null project' ". Could you explain this a little further?

Have you checked the power to your network?

Whenever I start a fresh scan a small window appears giving me 3 options
    1. Create a null project
    2. Open a project with different name
    3. Create a new project

If I select any of 3 options, toolkit scans PCI only. It doesn't scan DSI or keypad. I have checked network power with multimeter. CBus voltage is
35.2V. If I open PCI status in toolkit, I get same value of voltage. However when I click on network in left pane(the branch just below the project name) I receive status
    1. Network burden required
    2. 72mA supply required.

Even if I remove keypad, supply demand remains same.

I hope that what I have written is grammatically ok. I will try to post screenshots to illustrate more.

    Regards,
    Manas

    Hi Manas,

A screenshot would be great to confirm this, but it sounds like your PCI has the actual string "null" stored as a project name. So Toolkit is offering to create a project with this name. It does not matter whether you choose to use this name or another name.

I think your scanning issues are related to the network itself. If you have checked the mains power, burden and clock etc, you may wish to give Tech Support a call.
