Is it possible to see which group address is assigned to a relay channel by manually pressing the button on the relay?

    Hi Memphix
I just tried the local over ride buttons on my dimmer.
There is no message in the level 9 log text, Toolkit Application log or diagnostic utility.

What are you trying to do?

    I didn't think you could.

I had an AV tech say he didn't need my programming file... he could just press the manual overrides to know what group address was tied to that channel. Keen to know how if it is possible.

I know theres a lot going on in cgate, thought maybe it was possible through something other than toolkits application log.

    Hi memphix..

He probably meant he could simply scan the network, open the GUI for the output model, document what group address number each output channel is set to then go to switchboard and press the local overide to physically see what each channel is controlling, and rebuild his own group address tag database in toolkit..

I have done this many times on sites where the original toolkit database was lost or unavailable due to various reasons..

It takes time but in the end the client is probably paying for that so is of little consequence to the person who has to do it..
