I have a 3-year old C-bus project installed in my new house. The installer left me with comprehensive information, and the necessary .cta files. I have two PACs, with relevant .cta files. I am trying to open these files in PICED v.4.9.2.0. I go through the whole process of locating the files on my hard-drive, but when I try to import them (to look at the logic) I get a message in red in PICED: "This workspace area is only used for testing with Pascal Automation Controller projects. Please use the Logic Engine, Scene Manager and Schedule Manager to create your project".

Am I misunderstanding something here? I also have a mono touchscreen, and can see the logic when I import its .cta files. Does the PAC not behave in the same way? I was expecting to see the logic that controls my automated blinds.

This is the standard message.. The 'dashboard' or workspace area (ie the white screen) is used for testing cbus logic functionality..

You need to do pretty much exactly what the message says, look in the logic engine to see the logic coding, look at schedules to see schedules and scene to see scene.. There is no GUI (graphic user interface) with a pac controller..

Have you have any experience with the piced logic engine before? If not I would strongly suggest doing some 'light' reading on the logic engine before you go in and start fiddling..

    Cheers,
