I know there is a lot that the PACA controller can do, besides the logic engine. I wonder if there is any training material briefly demonstrating all it can do, using the RS232 ports..for example.

Also I wonder if there is any way to tell if its logic engine are running or not from indicators? I have experience that, after using it as PCI, the unit is not running even I pull the usb cable. Not only the logic but schedules ..etc. I have to power reset the unit for it to run again. So, it will be better if I can tell from indicators because it is hard to notice functions like schedules if it is running or not.

PAC doesn't actually do a lot other than logic and schedules.

If you want to use it for serial control, that will need to be done using logic. There are logic programming documents supplied with PICED. It is recommended that people attend a logic training course before attempting to write logic code.

The usage of the PAC LED indicators is explained in the PAC documentation which is supplied with the PAC.

Thanks. Sorry that I miss all the latest changes in instructions after we use the same products for some time. So, I assume that PAC controller should be running properly if logic is running.....

And I think, in future, the USB version of PCI should have function/memory for Big Scene and Schedule, (no logic enegine) at PCI cost. In this case the C-bus system will easily be a very useful system! (Simply a half price PAC controller with different printing :D )
